Saturday was my birthday and my family decided that they would go up to Big Star for the day and have some fun on the beach that we normally cannot do during the busy summer season. A few of the other families that have places up there came to... so I felt like I was having a big birthday party (I can pretend it was all for me). The only bad thing about pretending that all of this was for my birthday was that I am afraid of heights... so I did not participate in the activities. At least everybody else had fun and I did enjoy riding in the boat and spending time with friends and family.
Also, this weekend Micah and TJ are in a wedding... doesn't Micah just look adorable in his tux???
Meal time is finally getting better around our house. No, I still have to deal with Ephraim's special diet, so that part isn't easier.
Before he would eat everything in sight. Ate from the time we sat down until we took it away. We had to take it away from him because he would eat everything we made... as long as there was food on the table, he had to eat it. He would even throw fits if somebody was eating and he wasn't. It was very hard and tiring for TJ and I as we were constantly hearing him cry, scream, throw things around, lay on floor, hit... just about everything you could think of a little boy doing during tantrum time, he did.
This week it was almost like something clicked in his brain. He actually STOPS eating, even if there is food on his plate!!! I actually caught him today putting his cookies on top of his head. I tried to snap a picture of it, but he laughed and they fell off. He did not even eat them after they fell off his head... he just crawled away and started playing with his toys.
I still deal with him crying and screaming as I am making the meals, but at least we have the most important part (in my opinion) finally happening.
I have been without my main computer for the last couple of weeks and therefore could not get to my pictures. Now that I have it back, I am getting an error message every time I try to upload some pictures. So, be patient while I work on getting pictures uploaded for you.
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
People are asking me how I get my groceries so cheap. For our family of 4... our MONTHLY grocery bill is between $50 $100. Some of the things that I have gotten are Nature Valley Nut Clusters for $1.00 a bag (normally $2.99 a bag) and I never pay for toothpaste.
