Last summer I learned that there was a monthly playgroup for kids in our area. Today we actually were able to go. The first time we tried, the school did not have power, so the group was cancelled. He was really excited when I told him about it last night because it was pajama day and he was able to stay in his pajama's. He loves his pajamas and sometimes wants me to put them back on half way through the day.

We got to the school and we were wondering if they were still having it. There were no cars in the parking lot and the school was on their mid-winter break. Micah was really bummed and kept on trying to walk to the school. Eventually some cars came and somebody was brave enough to go and check to see if the group was still meeting.

We walked into the school and Micah was getting more and more excited. However, once we walked into the room and made a name tag, he thought I was leaving a cried and ran out of the room. I encouraged him to stay and told him that I was staying too. We read a book "How Dinosaurs go to bed" and he just loved it. He also got to make a picture using dinosaur stamps and a head band. He also made a necklace with a dinosaur on it, but he ate most of the fruit loops before I was able to take a picture.

At the end of the group they sang some songs and danced around. Micah was not to sure of that, but he did watch everybody and laughed he I tried to help him with the motions. Maybe next time he will participate a little more with the signing.

Only 3 more weeks... I hope

I have been waiting since November 29 for my new washing machine and dryer. At our last known date, our projected delivery date is March 4!!! Our washing machine broke the week before Thanksgiving. We found a great deal on a new HE washer and dryer at a day after Thanksgiving sale (ok… it was a 2 day after Thanksgiving sale J) I never thought that not having a washing machine would be as big of a pain. However, using cloth diapers make it that I have at least 2 loads of laundry a week. If I do just those 2 loads of laundry, we wouldn’t have any clean cloths after a couple short weeks. Thankfully, I have a great mother and mother-in-law that have been willing to let us use their washing machine so I’m not sitting at a laundry mat with a 22 month old child.

Hopefully they won’t change our delivery date again (yes… I say again since our first delivery date was at the end of December).
