Formula Help Please!!!

My husband and I are asking for some help. We found out last week that there is a formula shortage over in Ethiopia. If you are willing to donate unopened, iron fortified cans of formula, please let me know. I am willing to come and pick them up. There are families traveling soon that will pack as many cans of formula as they can. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at

Thank-you in advance.

2 posts in 1 day!!! I'm on a roll

About an hour after I posted about finding mittens for Micah, I received a very important e-mail. This e-mail TJ and I have been waiting for for exactly 1 month. Can you guess what it is???

You guessed it... IT IS OUR COURT DATE. It has been scheduled for March 20. Please pray that it goes through the first time so we can get Ephraim home.

Aunt K. and Uncle S. SAVE THE DAY!!!

We have been missing Micah's mittens for a few weeks now. We tore our cars and house apart looking for them. Asking Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles if they have seen them with no such luck. Now we are going up north to go snowboarding this weekend, and still no mittens for Micah. I was just about to call TJ and have him pick up a new pair at the store, which I got me thinking. Our Aunt and Uncle brought over a bunch of clothes and when I was sorting them into sizes, I thought I saw a pair of mittens in there. So, I started to haul out the boxes and sure enough...A PAIR OF MITTENS!!! Micah also found a hat which he LOVES. He asked me to put the mittens and hat on and has been wearing them around the house ever since. THANK-YOU AUNT K AND UNCLE S.

Nothing to report

I thought our next post would be to tell everybody about when our court date was. Unfortunately, that is not the case today. It has been about a month since we received our referral for Ephraim and we still patiently wait for our caseworker to call or e-mail us with a date. So far, this wait has been harder than the wait for a referral. Probably because we have a picture and we are getting updates on how big he is getting. The agony of wanting to hold him and kiss him and not being able to just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Micah just looks at Ephraim’s picture and says “baby” and we correct him and tell him brother. What can you expect from a 21 month old, who knows a world of just mommy, daddy and himself.

Just keep praying for us as we wait for this date. I will post as soon as we hear from our caseworker.
