Tonight I got to hang out with a bunch of mom's. This group of mom's had 2 things in common. The first was that we were all mom's (or soon to be mom's) and the second was that we are all in the process of adopting or have already adopted from Ethiopia. It was so much fun hanging out with this group and meeting some new people. It was also fun to see pictures of those people who have already received their referral or are already home with their child(ren). Hopefully we can all get together again soon and enjoy another night together.
I got a little "in trouble" from a new friend (who is also adopting from Ethiopia) that I have not updated our blog in a while. Just letting you all know that we are still around. We do not have anything to update on the adoption front. We are still awaiting a referral and still predict it to take another 11 months.
Micah is starting to like his toilet. (hopefully that means potty training will happen soon) He learned the word Pee Pee this week and does tell us after he has gone. However, he doesn't want you to just change his diaper, he has to sit on his toilet for 15 mins before hand. So I have been spending much of my days sitting on the bathroom floor waiting for him to finish. (He is probably going to get after me by posting this on this blog, but that is what mothers are for:-))
It is getting late, so I will post some updated pictures of Micah shortly.
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
People are asking me how I get my groceries so cheap. For our family of 4... our MONTHLY grocery bill is between $50 $100. Some of the things that I have gotten are Nature Valley Nut Clusters for $1.00 a bag (normally $2.99 a bag) and I never pay for toothpaste.
